Loyce Pace, a leader who has worked on the ground in more than 10 countries delivering health programs and mobilizing advocates, became Global Health Council’s President and Executive Director in December 2016.
Loyce came to the role having held leadership positions in global policy and strategic partnerships at LIVESTRONG Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Susan F. Wood is Professor of Health Policy and Management at the George Washington University. She previously was Assistant Commissioner for Women’s Health at the FDA, and directed the FDA Office of Women’s Health from 2000-2005, when she resigned on principle due to the continued delay of approval of emergency contraception as an over-the-counter product. Prior to her time at FDA, Dr. Wood was Director of Policy and Program Development at the US Dept of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health.
Mark P. Lagon is a thought leader on global governance and institutions, global health, human rights, and human trafficking. He is Chief Policy Officer at Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS,
Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
Elizabeth B. Harned serves as Vice President of Public Policy & Organizing for Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC, Planned Parenthood of Maryland, and the Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington DC Action Fund.
David Aylward provides strategic guidance to organizations and initiatives that seek to improve the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged people. He is leading the design and startup of a national program to train Medical Assistants in person-centered primary care as the Executive Director of the National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement.
Dr. Lance Price is a professor at the George Washington University’s Milken Institute School of Public Health in Washington, DC. He is also the founding director of the Antibiotic Resistance Action Center. Dr. Price works at the interface between science and policy to address the growing crisis of antibiotic resistance.
